When it comes to bikes, nobody beats the Dutch. Add a dash of environmental friendliness, and we have an amazing invention called the "Bike Dispenser" at convenient locations around the city.
The idea is simple (aren't all good ones). You hire a bicycle from a Bike Dispenser, pedal to where you want to go, then give it back at the next nearest dispenser. According to the description of the service, the price is equal to a bus ticket.
The idea is to place these dispensers in train stations, car parks, residential zones, and the such to provide an alternative to when the public transport it does not work, or when you simply prefer not to use it.
Bravo. Well done Dutchies! If only I could get this in my city.
